Thanks for hanging out with me over the past few days. I hope I’ve cleared up some of these mysteries for you. If you have any more mysteries you’d like me to solve, shoot them along.
This type of relationship can really do your head in. Please find someone to talk to who’s great at listening and can make you a cup of tea and give you a hug when you need one. You need people on your side.
Some of you may wondering if it’s possible to talk to me personally to get some feedback on your situation and what you can do. It is, but with a few limitations:
- I don’t offer mental health support. You’ll want to look for a licensed professional counselor in your area.
- I can’t change him—that’s something he’s got to want to do for himself.
What I can do is listen, validate, and help coach you through this. You’ve got more power than you realize. You’ve got options you haven’t tried. New doors will open for you once you get clear on what’s happening and what you want. So shoot me an email if you’re interested.
I wish you the best of luck. I do hope you try the self-care challenge and the bare minimum experiment in Chapter 5, because they can really help give you some perspective and a bit of breathing room. I know how hard this is, but I also know you have the strength and courage and smarts to find a way through. Take care!!
